My name is Alberto Gozzi.

I started working with wood shortly after moving to Italy in 1980. My
father had been building homes in Canada for some time so
woodworking kind of runs in the family. I began building furniture and
working on home interiors with my father for several years. I have to
admit that when I first started I had a bit of a hard time finding any
interest in woodworking, but after a short period of time it was in my
blood and I could hardly do without.

I moved back to Canada in 1991, and besides the odd project you
could say I stopped working with wood for several years. I began
picking up the pace when I moved to Toronto and did some furniture
restoration for some of the antique stores which helped to fill that
certain emptiness.
A.E.G. Miniatures
Around 1995 I started to get a stronger urge to get back into woodworking on a more
personal level where I could be a little more creative and doing what I really wanted to do.

Around 1996 I stumbled upon
my first miniature shop.  The store opened up a whole
new world to me. I spent a lot of time asking questions and letting my mind run wild with
ideas realizing that the possibilities were truly endless.

I soon began designing my first project, “Lion’s Head Manor”. This house kept me busy
for several years. I changed my original design several times over until I was satisfied
with the final result.

I decided to sell this piece and approached The Little Dollhouse Company, who jumped
at the idea and displayed the house as a centre piece in their window.

Since then I have been making dollhouses and room boxes for The Little Dollhouse
Company.  I have found this to be a relaxing and most enjoyable hobby and hope it will
continue for a very long time.
This website is dedicated to the projects I have completed in
the past and will be completing in the near future.

The first house displayed on this website is dedicated to my
first doll house “Lion’s Head Manor”. Lion’s Head Manor is
what launched me into the world of miniatures.

I hope you enjoy viewing my site and will tell everyone you
know in the world of miniatures to come and view it. I will
always look forward in hearing from anyone who wishes to
comment on my work. It does not matter if your comments are
good or bad. After all I am probably my worst critic.

I’m open to enquiries should you be interested in having a
project built as I am always looking for new projects to
stimulate my imagination.
